ALEXA SINCLAIR

Alexa began dancing at the age of 13 in Santa Cruz CA. She trained intensely as a part of a performing and competing company which focused on styles such as Lyrical, Contemporary, and Jazz.

In 2011, she was named a California Arts Scholar. While attending University, she created AURA dance company where she taught adult dancers jazz technique, lyrical, and contemporary classes. Through this company and her participation in other hip hop crews, she was able to put on a number of dance shows, create numerous dance videos, and increase her leadership and choreography skills.

Alexa’s passion for dance influenced her move to Vietnam in 2017. Here, she joined Urban Dance Group to continue her training. With this company she has been apart of many memorable performances, one of which being “Between Us”, created by Sabra Johnson.

Alexa is looking forward to the future of Dancenter and loves teaching the amazing students that dance here! Her style is very connected with the lyrics and the emotions of the songs that she choreographs to. She loves incorporating this style into weekly classes and working with her students to use dance as an expression of emotion.
