At Dancenter, we always strive to provide the best learning environment for our students. A few important class changes will take place starting in November. Please take a moment to read the updates below.

Transition for Ms. Madison’s Classes

One of our beloved teachers, Ms. Madison, will soon return to the US to prepare for her maternity leave. We are overjoyed for her as she begins this new chapter and send her our warmest wishes. To ensure our little ones continue receiving the best lessons and dance experiences, our talented new teacher, Ms. Oanh, will be taking over Ms. Madison’s classes.

We understand that transitions can be sensitive, especially for our younger students. To ensure a smooth and supportive process, starting October 27, Ms. Oanh will join the classroom alongside Ms. Madison, who will still be present to guide and support. This way, students will have time to get to know their new teacher in a comfortable and familiar setting.

Classes that Ms. Oanh will take over:

  • Mini Kids (Intro, Jazz Prep & Ballet Prep)

  • Jazz: Level K1 Open

  • Lyrical: Level T1 Open

From November 3, Ms. Oanh will officially be teaching these classes.

Meet Ms. Oanh

Ms. Oanh began her professional dance journey in 2012, building a strong foundation in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance.

With nearly a decade of experience teaching both children and adults, she is highly certified:

  • Dancer diploma with excellence from The HCMC Intermediate Dance School (chuyên ngành Diễn viên Múa loại xuất sắc tại Trường Trung cấp Múa TP.HCM) in 2016

  • Dance teacher diploma with excellent distinction from the Military University of Culture and Arts (chuyên ngành Huấn luyện Múa loại xuất sắc tại Trường Đại học Văn hóa Nghệ thuật Quân đội) in 2020.

Her teaching style is known for patience, clarity, and encouragement. She loves breaking down movements into simple, effective steps that help students dance with joy and confidence.

At Dancenter, Ms. Oanh first joined as a professional dancer in 2017 under the direction of John Huy Tran, performing in major Urban Dance Group (UDG) productions like Between Us and GAIA. In 2024, she was named Dance Captain of Eva Dance Company under Sabra Johnson, further enriching her diverse and multicultural approach to teaching.

When speaking about teaching young dancers, she shared:

“Their energy, innocence, and creativity bring me joy and inspiration. My goal is to help children build a solid foundation and develop a long-lasting joy for dance.”

We are excited to welcome Ms. Oanh into the Dancenter Faculty and can’t wait to see the creativity, patience, and passion she will bring to the classroom!

Updates for Tap Classes

We are also happy to share some important updates for our Tap Program:

November – December 20th, 2025:

Miss Leila (Dancenter’s Tap teacher from 2016–2023) will return to Vietnam to take over Tap classes, ensuring students complete the Foundation Term successfully.

January – June 2026 (Performance Term)

Tap students will continue with Miss Xoay under the following new schedule:

  • Tap K1 & K2: Monday at 5:10 PM

  • Tap K3 & KT4: Monday at 6:10 PM

Important Note: Unfortunately, due to scheduling limitations, we will not be able to continue the Tap T5 class for the upcoming Performance Term. We sincerely apologize for this and thank you for your understanding.

A Supportive Transition

To make this change comfortable and encouraging for our students:

  • Ms. Madison will personally introduce Ms. Oanh to students during class.

  • Ms. Huong, our teaching assistant, will continue supporting Mini Kids classes to ensure all students feel safe and cared for.

With this thoughtful process, we are confident our students will continue learning in a joyful, stable, and inspiring environment.

Thank you to all our parents and students for your understanding and support during these exciting transitions!
