This summer, join Ty Bui for a special Jazz workshop designed to help intermediate dancers explore feminine texture and movement, embodying both softness and strength, elegance and boldness.

As part of Dancenter’s Summer Adult Workshop Series 2026, this workshop invites adults to stay active, learn new skills, and experience different dance styles throughout the summer. Each workshop offers a new opportunity to challenge yourself, meet fellow dancers, and continue growing both technically and artistically.
About the Workshop
Explore the balance between softness and strength, elegance and boldness.
Rooted in jazz foundations and inspired by the concepts of threading and tracing, this workshop invites dancers to discover movement textures, fluid transitions, and striking pictures within the body.
Through guided exercises and choreography, we'll explore musicality, performance quality, and self-expression while creating space for each dancer to uncover their own character and presence.
More than learning steps, this workshop is about embodying movement, finding confidence, and making the choreography your own.
We'll explore:
Musicality & Dynamics
Threading & Tracing Textures
Presence & Performance Quality
Shapes, Pictures & Transitions
Choreography Exploration
Self-Expression Through Movement
