LEVEL T1 OPEN (12-17 YRS)
Ideal for teen recreational dancers who want to build a strong foundation in Dance/Acro. This level focuses on developing body awareness, flexibility, and strength. For teens interested in joining our DC program in the future, enrolling in 2-3 classes per week is highly recommended to accelerate progress and to potentially reach DC Teen Level 4 or 5.

BREAKING | Friday | 7:05 PM - 8:30 PM | Breaking, also known as Breakdance, is an introduction to all elements of this iconic style.Students learn how to create their own style using the foundations of breaking. |
LYRICAL | Monday | 6:10 PM - 7:35 PM | Lyrical is a combination of Ballet and Jazz dance and is an emotionally expressive dance style that pushes today’s boundaries of movement and movement innovation.
Due to technical elements involved with lyrical dance, this class may only be taken in conjunction with a Ballet or Jazz class. Strong emphasis on strength and flexibility. |
ACRO | Monday | 7:00 PM - 8:25 PM | This class will be an introduction level teaching the fundamentals of technique, strength, and flexibility of Acro. Learn the fundamental building blocks of Acro and have fun! |
CONTEMPORARY | Saturday | 10:50 AM - 12:15 PM | Contemporary dance encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions, being able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotion. It focuses on spacial and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment. |
HIP HOP | Thursday | 6:05 PM - 7:30 PM | This class is a great way to exercise, build strength, stamina and self-esteem, while having fun and learning to dance! So get in the groove with great moves! Learn style, musicality and technique. |
BALLET | Tuesday | 6:10 PM - 7:35 PM | This class is a wonderful introduction to ballet for Teen students with little to no previous experience or for those who wish to enjoy their practice at their pace as a recreational hobby. The fundamentals of balance and general alignment are introduced/ reviewed at this level. |
JAZZ | Wednesday | 6:10 PM - 7:35 PM | For older beginners, this class will focus on the basics of jazz dance. Warm up, center work and short combinations will focus on proper alignment, stretch/strength and musicality. The goal of this class is to offer a space for teens to explore their interest in dance at their pace. |
